If I ever drop my Rs out at the baah I fully blame my few years in London, not trying to be a townie, and Afflon & Co. have transcended those criticisms now. The Town starring and directed by Ben Affleck (he worked on the screenplay too -does this round out a hometown trilogy?) looks like serious guilty pumpedup pleasure time. It is adapted from Chuck Hogan's novel Prince of Thieves and also stars Jeremy Renner, Jon Hamm, Chris Cooper, Pete Postlethwaite and Rebecca Hall. #on_lock.
Update: the crew bought a bunch of props/stuff for the film at Hilton's Tent City; including the bags used in the bank heist. #local_knowledge.
